What it detects
Dark activity
Transponders switched off where receivers were clearly hearing other ships, vessels appearing or vanishing at sea, and go-fast profiles by small craft at night.
Meetings at sea
Ship-to-ship rendezvous and loitering offshore, scored higher when a participant went dark nearby or is sanctions-listed.
Identity and sanctions
Cloned or shared vessel IDs, impossible position jumps, invalid IMO numbers, and OFAC sanctions matches verified on IMO before name.
