An AI-native compliance company, now raising its pre-seed

CactusComply is the patent-pending AI tax compliance software built by Osonwanne Group LLC. We’re opening a pre-seed round to bring it to every Arizona small business.

Today we’re sharing something we’ve been heads-down building: CactusComply, an AI-native platform for Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) compliance, is raising a pre-seed round. This is a venture of Osonwanne Group LLC, our applied-AI studio, and it’s the first of our two patent-pending products to go to market.

If you’re an investor, an operator, or simply someone who has wrestled with a TPT return, this post explains what we’re building, why now is the moment, and how to get involved.

The problem: TPT is a quiet tax on small business time

Arizona’s TPT is one of the most fragmented sales-tax regimes in the country. Rates shift constantly across roughly 150 jurisdictions, each with its own rules, business codes, and deductions. For a restaurant group, a contractor, or a multi-location retailer, getting a return right means reconciling point-of-sale data against an ever-moving rate base, by hand, every month.

Most small businesses either over-pay to a bookkeeper, under-file and risk penalties, or simply lose nights to spreadsheets. The compliance burden grows with every new location. That’s the wedge CactusComply was built to remove.

The vision: AI-native compliance, not software with a chatbot bolted on

CactusComply isn’t a legacy filing tool with an AI feature stapled to the side. It’s built AI-first from the data layer up. The platform ingests transaction data, maps it to the correct jurisdictions and business codes, applies the right deductions, and prepares filings, with an AI layer that checks its own work before anything reaches a customer.

The goal is simple to state and hard to engineer: make TPT compliance something an Arizona business owner never has to lose sleep over. We see this as the first vertical in a broader thesis, applied AI for the unglamorous, high-stakes back office of real businesses. You can read more about that thesis across our ventures and our AI consulting work.

Why now

  • The technology finally fits the problem. Reliable AI retrieval, self-verifying agents, and self-healing data pipelines are now production-grade, exactly the building blocks a moving-target compliance problem needs.
  • The product is real. The core platform is built and the engineering systems behind it are patent-pending, not a slide-deck idea.
  • The market is underserved. National tax tools treat Arizona as an afterthought. We treat it as the whole point, and that local depth is the moat.
  • The window is open. AI-native incumbents in vertical compliance don’t exist yet here. First mover with defensible IP is a position worth funding.

What makes it defensible

We filed a provisional patent on the systems behind the product, not the tax rules. At an announcement level, the filing covers three engineering advances:

Three patent-pending engineering advances: self-verifying AI, tenant-isolated retrieval, and self-healing dataSelf-verifying AIchecks its own workTenant-isolateddata walled offSelf-healing dataversions every change

Self-verifying AI

A voice AI that reconciles what it claims it did against what actually happened, catching and correcting mistakes before they ever reach a customer, and improving only from verified outcomes.

Tenant-isolated retrieval

AI retrieval designed to keep each business’s sensitive financial records walled off, so the system does not surface one company’s data to another.

Self-healing data

A pipeline that versions every rate change and tells genuine data errors apart from ordinary variation, so teams are alerted only to what truly matters.

We patented the engine and keep our curated rule base, rate data, and models protected as trade secrets. More on our IP approach is on the patents page.

What the pre-seed funds

This round is about go-to-market. The product is built; the priority now is getting it into the hands of Arizona small businesses and proving the motion. At a high level, the capital goes toward:

  • Reaching and onboarding Arizona businesses who feel the TPT pain most.
  • Hardening the platform as we scale across jurisdictions and filing types.
  • Deepening the AI systems that make compliance faster and more trustworthy.

We’re keeping specifics where they belong, in the deck and in a direct conversation. If you’d like the full picture of the round, the team, and the plan, the fastest path is to request the deck and book a call. You can also learn more on our invest page.
